Theresa Baetzel (C0-Director/Coach, 17s) Theresa played for Lakeland College before finishing her degree in Liberal Arts at UIC. She has coached both Girls and Boys volleyball for over 20 seasons at various clubs and high school programs.She is the co-founder of Ignite, and currently coaches at Hinsdale South.
Laura Witteman (C0-Director/Coach, 14 Black) Laura is a Hall of Fame recipient from UIC, where her volleyball team finished 6th in the country. She has coached both Girls and Boys volleyball at every level for various clubs and school programs for over 25 seasons.She started the Boys volleyball program at RB. She is the co-founder of Ignite.
Maria Hawk (Coach -Assistant ) Maria played at UIC, and has coached for various clubs and youth organizations and schools for over 8 years.This is her 4th year with Ignite, and she is currently the Principal at Incarnation School in Palos Heights.
Courtney Hummel (Coach- Assistant)
Courtney played club and high school volleyball in Georgia, and then attended college at Notre Dame (Go Irish!). She moved to Chicago in 2009 to pursue a Master of Healthcare Administration degree. She now works at Loyola University Medical Center. This is her first year coaching, and she is so excited to have a great year with Ignite!
Fred Leinweber (Coach- Assistant, 17s)
Beatrice Jirasek (Coach- 14 Gold) Bea has coached for various clubs,junior highs, and high schools in the area on all levels.
Tee Pimsarn (Coach - 14 Gold)
Tee is a native of Thailand and an alumni of OPRF where he continued his volleyball career from Hawaii. He played college club volleyball at SIUC where he was a setter for 3 years and received a BS in Aviation Management/Airport Planning. His coaching experience consist of both 15’s girls and boys team at another club in 2008. This will be his third season with Ignite where he was a head coach for 15’s black in 2009 and 15’s Gold Assistant Coach in 2010 when the team won the MEQ Nickel Champion earlier this year. As coach with a knack for attention to detail and technicality of the game he brings a unique skill set to Ignite.
